In conjunction with the Eunice Spring of Life Foundation (ESLF), the OCI Foundation is pleased to announce that the Arm Our Youths (ArOY) Health Campaign will be officially flagged off in Benue State of Nigeria, on Thursday, May the 28th, 2020. Details on the venue, time and expected guests, will be made available soon, but the FIRST LADIES of all 19 Northern States in Nigeria, as well as ALL Senators and House of Reps members from Benue State, are expected to grace the event.
The ESLF is the NGO established by Her Excellency, Dr Mrs Eunice Ortom, the First Lady of Benue State, Nigeria. More on this Foundation can be found HERE.
On its part, the ArOY Campaign is a Harvard-endorsed, WHO-supported, evidence-based health promotion initiative of the OCI Foundation, which aims to introduce anti-breast and anti-cervical cancer teachings into the regular curriculum of all senior secondary schools in Nigeria and other developing countries. The Campaign is designed to reach all of Nigeria’s 36 States (plus the Federal Capital Territory), along with all the high schools in the Country, by the Year 2025.
In September 2019, Anambra State became the first State in Nigeria to commence the ArOY Campaign, following a 3-day colorful ceremony that was held at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Nigeria. A documentary of that event is available HERE,while pictures from the events are available HERE, AND HERE. Benue State is set to be the second State in Nigeria to benefit from this novel, life-saving event.
