On Saturday, November 27, 2021, Chief Dr Chidi Anyaegbu (MFR), the Chairman/CEO of Chisco Group, an indigenous Nigerian transport company, hosted the OCI Foundation’s National Champion Rev Dr Austin EPUNAM (also the Founder of the Sweet Home Africa Humanitarian Foundation, SHAHF) at the ultra-modern hospital built in his home town, Nnewi, Nigeria.
The hospital, named the “Pat-Angelina Anyaegbu Hospital”, was established in Amichi, Nnewi, South-east Nigeria in honour of Chief Anyaegbu’s later mother, who passed away many years ago due to poor access to proper medical care. It is part of the Chisco CEOs charitable activities.
In attendance at the event was the Chief Medical Director (CMD) of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital (NAUTH), Assoc. Prof. Joe Ugboaja, who came with a top management team from NAUTH, Nnewi, Nigeria.
During the gathering, Rev Dr Epunam briefed the attendees about the scheduled National Flag-off Ceremony of the OCI Foundation’s Arm Our Youths (ArOY) Health Campaign, which will hold in Abuja, Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory, on Thursday, February the 3rd, 2022.
The ArOY Health Campaign, a brainchild of the OCI Foundation, is being delivered to Nigerians in partnership with the NYSC, the Nigerian Cancer Society (NCS) and the Nigerian First Ladies Against Cancer (FLAC). It seeks to introduce anti-breast and anti-cervical cancer activities into the regular orientation activities of the NYSC. Details of the partnership can be found HERE.
