Full Story (Video & All Pics): Final Farewell as OCI Foundation joins EBELE OKARO-ONYIUKE, the Foundation’s National Nollywood Ambassador, to Bury Mum (4/11/2022)

The OCI Foundation joins her National Nollywood Ambassador, MRS EBELE OKARO-ONYIUKE, in mourning her mum, the late Dame Elizabeth Nkechi OKARO (MFR). The late Dame Okaro was aged, 91 years.

The funeral ceremony, which attracted many top Nollywood stars, was held at the Okaro Family compound in Ogidi, Anambra State, Nigeria.

Mrs Ebele Okaro-Onyiuke, one of her surviving children, is of the Nollywood fame, and has been a key associate of the OCI Foundation since 2019. She played a major role in the development of the OCI Foundation’s instructive video on Breast Self-Examination (BSE), a key component of the Foundation’s Arm Our Youths (ArOY) Anti-Cancer Health Campaign.

Mrs Okaro-Onyiuke was also physically present at a couple of OCI Foundation’s major ceremonies in recent years, leading about 2 dozen Nollywood stars to both events. Those events were:

1) At the official flag-off ceremony of the ArOY Health Campaign for schools in Anambra State (September 10, 2022; Awka, Nigeria). Click HERE to see the video.

The OCI Foundation joins millions of Nigerians to mourn with the Okaro family for this irreparable loss, and pray for Mama’s soul to continue a peaceful, eternal, rest.

The OCI Foundation was represented at the funeral event by Mrs Imelda Emeka, Mrs Nwando Onyekwulu, Mrs Ngozi Okafor, Mrs Anthonia Chigbata, Mr Simon Ekwuye, and Mr Ahmed “Young G” Obi.
