Introducing the OCI Foundation’s JAMB Awards

The OCI Foundation is pleased to introduce the JAMB Awards, with the first set of beneficiaries receiving the award in 2019.

This has became necessary since the IFOMSSA Senior Award recipients have begun to excel in their Senior School Certificate Examinations, just 2 years into the program. The Foundation has realized that these students need further financial help to enroll and sit for the Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB) Examination, which is compulsory for them before gaining admission into Nigerian tertiary institutions.

All five of the 2018 IFOMSSA Senior Award winners from the Community High School (CHS), Nsugbe, got the award this year, as they all recorded impressive results in their 2018 O’Level Examinations. This achievement, in itself, is a sterling testament to the efficacy of the IFOMSSA Awards in motivating students to attain academic excellence.

We expect these youngsters, as well as other past winners of the IFOMSSA Awards, to start gaining admission to tertiary institutions, and join the competition for the Cyfed Undergraduate Scholarships, another scholarship scheme on offer from the OCI Foundation, for undergraduates of Nigerian tertiary institutions.

It is expected that winners of the IFOMSSA Senior Awards for 2019 will automatically get the JAMB Award for the following year. Details for the selection of the 2019 IFOMSSA Senior Awards are available HERE.

Below are the pictures and names of the 2019 JAMB AWARD recipients, posing with the OCI Foundation’s Legal Adviser, Barr. Onyechi Ononye (middle in both pictures). In the second picture is also Mr. Jude Obiezeazu, a school teacher their school teacher, is at the far left.
