The OCI Foundation also participated at the “Second Stakeholders Summit on Cervical Cancer Elimination in Nigeria” (Dec 5-6, 2024; Abuja, Nigeria).
The Foundation’s talk, delivered on December 6, 2024, was on: “Gynocular Project: The Journey So Far“. It was presented by Dr Theophilus Nwokeocha (a member of its Abuja Advocacy Team) on Behalf of Dr Anga Fatima Inusa (the Foundation’s Director of the Gynocular Cancer Project).
Also in attendance is Mr Basheer Mohammed Ranccas, the OCI Foundation’s Champion for Nigeria’s Yobe State, who is also the newly elected National Director of Publicity for the Nigerian Cancer Society (NCS).

The event, coordinated by Nigeria’s Federal Ministry of Health and the NCS, was themed “Strengthening Collaboration Towards Cervical Cancer Elimination Targets in Nigeria”.
