Press Release: OCI Foundation now an Australian-registered charity body

“OCI Foundation Limited” now an Australian-registered charity body

We are pleased to announce that the OCI Foundation is now a full-fledged charity body in Australia, having been formally registered as a charity organization by the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC). This recognition, which was declared effective from the 4th of June, 2018, accords us the status of a charity body that “Advances Health”, “Advances Education”, and “Advances Social and Public Welfare”. Details can be found here.

This is great news, not only for the OCI Foundation, but for all the less privileged who stand to benefit from our activities on health, education, and social/public welfare issues.

Combined with the registration we had hitherto enjoyed with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) of Nigeria (since the 29th day of April 2016), this latest development makes us an international charity organization. This gives us the confidence that we can now achieve our goal of going beyond the thousands of beneficiaries we currently serve, to reach out to millions of people over the coming years.

We are grateful to the Clayton Utz Lawyers, for their expert legal services in bringing this whole dream to fruition. We also thank all our Directors, Trustees, Staff and numerous volunteers (across Nigeria, Australia, United Kingdom, and the USA), who have toiled day and night to ensure that we continue to fulfil our promises.
We give God all the glory.

. . .  We Rise, By Lifting Others!!!
