The OCI Foundation UK has recorded its first outing on British soil. This follows the donation of food and clothing materials to the homeless and other disadvantaged communities in Liverpool as part of the Foundation’s efforts to advance its Social and Public Welfare activities among underprivileged communities.
The Croxteth & Gillmoss Community Federation received the items for the disadvantaged groups as part of its own Croxteth Family Matters Project.
The OCI Foundation UK team was led by two of its directors, Revd. Marvin OSHIEGBU and Mrs Kim AKWARA. They were accompanied by volunteers of the Foundation and other associates from Faith Temple Ministries, Liverpool, an institution that is formally partnering with the OCI Foundation UK on its activities.
While this is the OCI Foundation UK’s program on British soil, it is also scheduled to make its second outing this year on September 27th and 28th in London at the “Zenith Global Health’s 2024 Summit and Awards”.
Earlier this year (on April 22 and 23), the OCI Foundation UK also featured at the “2024 Africa Healthcare Awards and Summit by Zenith Global Health”, in Accra, Ghana.
The OCI Foundation UK was formally registered with the Charity Commission on October 3, 2023. It was primarily established to Advance and Promote Health, Advance Education, and Advance Social and Public Welfare among underprivileged communities.
In addition to the United Kingdom, the OCI Foundation International has a legal presence in Nigeria (since 2016) and Australia (since 2018). Over the past few years, it has received multiple international awards, including those from UN-affiliated bodies and institutions in Africa, Europe, and Australasia.
