Designation: Quality Assurance Director, Gynocular Cancer Project
DR LEONARD OGBONNA AJAH is Quality Assurance Director of the OCI Foundation’s Gynocular Cancer Project. He is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist (O and G), and holds the Fellowships of the Medical College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (FMCOG) and the West African College of Surgeons (FWACS). His sub-specialization as a Gynaecologic Oncologist makes him a perfect fit for this role with the OCI Foundation.
Dr Ajah obtained his primary medical degree (MBBS) from the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Nigeria, and also holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) and Master of Science (MSc) degrees, both of which he obtained from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Nigeria.
Currently, he is a Senior Lecturer in O and G with the College of Medicine, University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus (UNEC), and is an Honorary Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital (UNTH), Enugu, Nigeria. He had previously worked at as a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at the Alex Ekwueme Federal University Teaching Hospital, Abakaliki (FETHA), Ebonyi State, Nigeria.
Dr Ajah has authored over 70 peer-reviewed articles, and belongs to multiple professional and technical committees. He loves reading, football and listening music, and is happily married with children.
