VIDEO: OCI Foundation Celebrates with her Legal Adviser, Barr Steve Onyechi ONONYE, as he marks his elevation to the prestigious rank of a “SENIOR ADVOCATE OF NIGERIA (SAN)”.Monday, November 28, 2022: The OCI Foundation International joined other friends, associates, and well-wishers to celebrate her Legal Adviser, BARR STEVE ONYECHI ONONYE*, who was recently elevated to the rank of a “SENIOR ADVOCATE OF NIGERIA (SAN)”. Barr Ononye was one of the 62 legal practitioners honoured with this call to the inner bar by the Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee (LPPC) during its 154th plenary session that was held on Thursday, September the 29th, 2022. On September 21, 2022, Barr Ononye and the new SANs were sworn in at a ceremony in Abuja, Nigeria.The rank of a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) is awarded as a mark of excellence to members of the Nigerian legal profession that have distinguished themselves as advocates and academics. The OCI Foundation Global Family is thrilled with this honour that has been done to one of her most senior, most dedicated, and most influential members. Barr Ononye was instrumental to the formal incorporation of the OCI Foundation (Nigeria), and played a key role in nurturing the Foundation from its early days.At the celebrations on Monday, November the 29th, the OCI Foundation was represented by Rev Dr Austin EPUNAM (the National Champion and CEO of the Sweet Home Africa Humanitarian Foundation) and Dr Ndaeyo IWOT (the Foundation’s FCT Liaison Officer). They were accompanied by the other members of the Foundation’s Advocacy team in Abuja, including Dr Fatima ANGA, Luter Ikyobo, Felicia DAGU, Frances Nkem, and Zana DAGU, among others.The OCI Foundation heartily congratulates Barr Steve Onyechi ONONYE (SAN).
