Anfonia ADAMTEY, Champion, OCI Foundation’s Arm Our Youths Health Campaign, Ghana

 

Ms. Anfonia Adwoa Adamtey is a registered Psychologist Assistant and a Telephonic Consultant for an Employee Assistance Program (EAP).

 

She joined the OCI Foundation UK in April 2024 and was part of the team that represented the organisation at the Zenith Global Health’s2024 Africa Healthcare Awards and Summit” held at the Accra International Conference Centre, Accra, Ghana, between April 22 to 23, 2024.

 

As a Consultant, She also co-plans and organises wellbeing sessions for organisations and their employees.

 

With a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Ghana and currently pursuing her master’s in Counselling Psychology, Ms Adamtey is on a mission to empower the youths of Ghana through education and mentorship, making her a natural fit for the OCI Foundation.

 

She has played vital roles in creating public awareness on holistic health and wellbeing through outreach programmes and webinars. She has focused on areas such as general well-being and mental health-related issues like suicide, anxiety, stress, and substance use, among others.

 

Ms. Adamtey has also co-facilitated the development of strategies for improving clinical care and mentored student psychologists in shaping their career-building experiences.

 

As an official champion of the OCI Foundation’s Arm Our Youths (ArOY) campaign in Ghana, she exemplifies dedication to community engagement and advocacy.

 

She is presently embarking on a new project to start a blog on modern Christianity and holistic well-being.
