Mrs. Ngozi Maureen Okafor, Director (I) of IFOMSSA Scholarship Awards, OCI Foundation

Mrs. Ngozi Maureen Okafor served as the first Director (formerly Desk Officer) of the OCI Foundation’s IFOMSSA Scholarship Awards, a position she handled from October 2017 to April of 2023, when she handed over to Mrs. Vivian Onyekwlu following her redeployment to become a Principal at the Community High School, Nkwelle Ezunaka, Anambra State, Nigeria.

 

Until her deployment, Mrs. Okafor was also the Zonal Coordinator, Counselling Unit of the Post Primary Schools Service Commission (PPSSC) Otuocha Educational Zone of Anambra State.

 

She was a founding member of the OCI Foundation, and was present with other officers of the PPSSC Otuocha Zone during the very first meeting at the family home of the OCI Foundation’s President in Nsugbe, back in September 2016. She oversaw the IFOMSSA (Senior and Junior) Scholarship Scheme of the OCI Foundation for secondary school students between 2018 to 2023.

 

Mrs Okafor holds a master’s degree in Guidance and Counselling from Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Igbariam Campus, Anambra State, Nigeria, and has used her expertise to serve in different official and voluntary posts for a number of years.

 

Her dedication to service and competence got her an appointment as a school Principal. She maintains a strong and productive relationship with the OCI Foundation, and features prominently in the annual state-wide secondary schools’ quiz competition in place as part of the Arm Our Youths (ArOY) Anti-cancer Health Campaign IN Anambra State of Nigeria.
