Mrs. Vivian Nwando ONYEKWELU, Director (II) of IFOMSSA Scholarship Awards, OCI Foundation

In May 2023, Mrs. Vivian Nwando ONYKWEWLU became the Director of the OCI Foundation’s IFOMSSA (Senior and Junior) Scholarship Awards, taking over from Mrs. Maureen Ngozi OKAFOR, who was redeployed to another position by her primary employers.

 

Vivian is the Head of Department (HOD), Schools and Education Quality Assurance Department (SEQAD), with the Otuocha Educational Zone of the Post Primary Schools Service Commission (PPSSC), Anambra State, Nigeria. The department monitors and evaluates teaching and learning in schools within the PPSSC. She is also the Public Relations Officer (PRO) for the Otuocha Zone of the PPSSC, which is one of the six Zones of the PPSSC in the State.

 

Vivian’s primary education was at the Primary Central School, Alor, while her secondary education was at the Girls Secondary School (now Anglican Girls Grammar School), Alor, all in Anambra State of Nigeria. She then attended the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Nigeria, where she read English Language.

 

In addition to a postgraduate diploma in Public Administration which she obtained from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, she also has a master’s degree in education administration and planning from the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN).

 

Mrs. Onyekwelu is blessed with five kids. She loves reading, singing, and watching movies.
