07 Feb 2020 Verifiable impact of the OCI Foundation’s “ArOY Health Campaign”: Presentations (videos and pictures) across secondary schools in Anambra State (Nigeria) on the “2020 World Cancer Day” (04/02/20)
As part of the events marking the “2020 World Cancer Day“, presentations were made on Breast and Breast Cancers by students of senior secondary schools across Anambra State of Nigeria. The World Cancer Day is held on February the 4th, every year.
The quality of the knowledge displayed by the students is a testament to the impact of the OCI Foundation’s Arm Our Youths (ArOY) Health Campaign. The ArOY Campaign is an innovative, Harvard-endorsed and evidence-based health promotion initiative designed to introduce anti-breast and anti-cervical teachings into the school curricula of all senior secondary schools in Nigeria. It was officially flagged off in Anambra State of Nigeria following a 3-day ceremony from September 10th to 12th, 2019. It is expected to be implemented across all schools and states of the Nigerian Nation on or before the end of Year 2025.
Anambra State is one of Nigeria’s 36 states, and has a total of six educational zones and 261 senior secondary schools. Video clips and pictures from the events in various schools are shown below.
