Miss Mlumun Veronica IORTYER, by virtue of winning the “2020 Face of Tiv International” pageantry, became the OCI Foundation’s “Face of the ArOY Health Campaign for Benue State”, Nigeria. She won a keenly contested event, which was held in Markurdi, Benue State, from December the 15th to the 17th, 2020.
Queen Vera, as she is now known, had her elementary school at the Anglican Nursery and Primary School, Makurdi, , while her secondary school education was at the Notre Dame Secondary School, Mkar Gboko. Both are in Benue State, Nigeria.
Presently, she is a student of the University of Calabar, Cross River State, Nigeria, where she is studying Library And Information Science.
As the “Face of the ArOY Health Campaign in Benue State”, Queen Vera works closely with the OCI Foundation as its innovative and life-saving Arm Our Youths (ArOY) Health Campaign is rolled out across Benue State, and, possibly, the rest of Nigeria. She is also expected to play a role as the OCI Foundation commences engagements with all tertiary institutions in Nigeria, which is one of its new initiatives of 2021.
In February 2021, she accompanied the OCI Foundation to visit those displaced by violence in Nigeria, at a camp reserved for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Makurdi, Benue State (see below).
Miss Iotyer is a staunch advocate against rape and other social intimidations in the society, and combines business entrepreneurship with her studies. As such, she deals in different kinds of fashion items, including men’s and ladies’ outfits, as well as other agricultural products.
Her hobbies include playing various sports like Lawn Tennis and Football, as well as Reading, Farming and Traveling.
