The OCI Foundation was led by its Director of Empowerment Projects, Mrs Ngozi Anthonia CHIGBATA. She was accompanied by Mr Onyibor John MACHIE (Member, Empowerment Projects) and Mr Chibuike Desmond OKAFOR (Beneficiary of the OCI Foundation’s 2022 Cyfed Undergraduate Scholarship).
Established in 2016, the OCI Foundation is an international NGO that is registered in Nigeria (2016), Australia (2018) and the UK (2023). It has activities across 3 major areas, which are to “Promote and Advance Health”, “Advance Education”, and “Advance Social & Public Welfare” among the Nigerian populace.
Since its creation, indigenes of Nsugbe, the Founder’s home town, have been major beneficiaries of the OCI Foundation’s activities, particularly its annual educational scholarship schemes, and social welfare/empowerment programs. More benefits are expected in the coming years, not just for Nsugbe indigenes, but the rest of Nigerians.
