The OCI Foundation’s Legal Adviser, Barr Steve Onyechi ONOYNE (SAN), has honored his late father, Chief Edwin Maduka ONONYE, in a final funeral as required by the Onitsha Community in Anambra State, Nigeria. The late Pa Ononye was, in his lifetime, a titled Chief, and a member of the Onitsha traditional cabinet. He passed away in 2015/2016.

An OCI Foundation delegation was on ground for the event. They included Mrs Anthonia CHIGBATA (Director of Empowerment Programs), Mrs Ngozi Maureen OKAFOR (the immediate past Desk Officer for the IFOMSSA Scholarship Awards), and Lady Oge EFOBI (an Advocacy Team Member in Anambra State). They were accompanied by Barr Chizoba ONOCHIE, a practicing lawyer and team member who, in December 202o, won a toyota vehicle in an OCI Foundation-sponsored raffle draw for lawyers under the Nigerian Bar Association, Onitsha Branch of Nigeria.
