Full Story/Pics/Videos: OCI Foundation at the 3 Days of UICC World Cancer Conference 2024 (Geneva, Switzerland; Sept 17 to 19, 2024)

The OCI Foundation was represented at the “2024 World Cancer Congress (WCC 2024)” of the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC), which was held from September 17th to 19th at the International Conference Centre, Geneva, Switzerland.

Founded in 1933, and now with more than 1,180 member organisations in 172 countries, the UICC is the world’s largest and oldest international cancer-fighting body.

The OCI Foundation is a full member organisation, and was represented at the 2024 event by its President, Dr Chris Ifediora.

1. High-level networking and multiple exciting plenary and panel sessions.
2. Meeting Her Excellency Dr Dr. Zainab Shinkafi Bagudu (a candidate for the “President-Elect” of the UICC) and other delegates from Nigeria.

Besides high-level networking, other stand-out exciting activities on Day 2 of this conference were:

1.    The UICC Regional for Africa, where high-profile leaders from Africa engaged all delegates from the Continent. Her Excellency Dr. Zainab Shinkafi Bagudu, our endorsed candidate for the “President-Elect” of the UICC, was among those that addressed the gathering.

2.    A water-front Social Evening with other delegates at the “Restaurant De La Plage”, Geneva.
