The Onyebuchi Chris Ifediora (OCI) Foundation has been honoured with the highly coveted “MOST IMPACTFUL NGO OF THE YEAR” at the 2022 (3rd Edition) of the “PRESTIGIOUS HALL OF FAME AWARD”.  The star-studded event, organised by the “PRESTIGIOUS UNIVERSAL MAGAZINE, PUMA”, was staged to honour organizations who have made meaningful impacts in the life of the society, and was held at the Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria.

The award was received on behalf of the OCI Foundation by the organisation’s Champion for Lagos State, Mrs Roseline ANIJEKWU (also the CEO of Caverra World, a Lagos-based NGO with a focus on teenagers), who was accompanied by her husband, Mr Ebele ANIJEKWU, ex-football star.

Also, in attendance for the OCI Foundation was Rev Dr Austin EPUNAM (the Foundation’s National Champion and Founder of the Sweet Home Africa Humanitarian Foundation, AHAF), Mr Ikenna ONUZULIKE (also the National Co-Ordinator, SHAHF), Barr Kingsley UKABI, Amara, and many others.

The OCI Foundation is grateful to the Hall of Fame Awards, including the Convener, Comrade Mcgoshen Onwunzo, for this honour.

Some other awardees honoured on the night were:

  1. Chief Femi Adesina (the Senior Special Assistant on Media & Publicity to the Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari), as the “MOST INFLUENTIAL MEDIA PERSONALITY OF THE YEAR”.
  2. Dr. Ifeanyi Patrick Ubah (Senator Representing the Anambra South Senatorial District at the Nigerian National Assembly), as the “MOST OUTSTANDING SENATOR IN CONSTITUENCY PROJECTS IMPLEMENTATION AND HUMAN RELATIONS”.
  3. Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere (Founder, Omega Power Ministries, OPM), as the “HUMANITARIAN ROLE MODEL OF THE YEAR”.
  4. The USA-based OgoBest Jamar Foundation, as the “BEST NGO FOR HUMANITARIAN SERVICES”.

It should be recalled that, not too long ago (September 9, 2022), the OCI Foundation was honoured with the prestigious “Humanitarian Role Model of The Year, 2022” at African NGOs and International Donor Organizations Festival in Abuja, Nigeria.

Earlier in 2022, the OCI Foundation’s President was decorated as a “UN’s Mayor for  World Peace, UN-MP”, while the Foundation itself has been honoured at various international events held  in Sydney (Australia), Lusaka (Zambia) and London (United Kingdom).
