Mrs Anthonia Ngozi Chigbata, “Overseer, OCI Foundation’s Direct Empowerment Program”.

Mrs Anthonia Ngozi Chigbata has worked with the OCI Foundation for over 2 years, before she was appointed the “Overseer to the OCI Foundation’s Direct Empowerment Program“, an activity that became functional in January 2021.

 

Her first task was to co-ordinate the Hair Dressing Skills Acquisition Program initiated for Nsugbe indigenes of Anambra State. This OCI Foundation’s Empowerment Program, which targets economically-disadvantaged individuals that are not in formal education systems, is expected to grow in the years to come.

 

Mrs Chigbata, at the time of her appointment, was the Head, Department of Science and Technology with the Post Primary Schools Service Commission (PPSSC), Otuocha Zone, Anambra State, Nigeria.

 

She had her primary school education at the Community Primary School, Ekwulobia, while her secondary school was at the Girls High School Ekwulobia. She then proceeded to study Home Economics (NCE) at the Nwafor Orizu College of Education, Nsugbe, Nigeria, before completing her tertiary education at the Enugu State University of Science and Technology, Enugu, Nigeria, where she did Economics (B Ed).

 

Anthonia is married with children, and enjoys reading and laundry activities.
