Wednesday, October 12, 2022, was a joyful day for the Onyebuchi Chris Ifediora (OCI) Foundation and her esteemed partners, as they teamed up to celebrate with the Foundation’s Executive Ambassador and Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the Nigerian president, Chief Femi Adesina, following his decoration as an “Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON)”.

Chief Adesina was one of 4 associates of the Sweet Africa and OCI Foundations that were honoured at the “2022 Nigerian National Award Ceremony”. The others were Chief Dr Chidi ANYAEGBU, CON (CEO, Chisco Group of Companies), Chief Sir Daniel CHUKWUDOZIE, OON (Chairman/CEO, Doozy Oil and Gas Limited), and Chief Obiora Okonkwo, OON (Chairman/CEO, United Nigeria Airlines). They were all among the 449 Nigerians decorated at the event by the Nigerian President, His Excellency, President Muhammdu Buhari, on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, in Abuja, Nigeria.

In addition to the celebration of the National award, Chief Adesina was also recognised as the “MOST INFLUENTIAL MEDIA PERSONALITY OF THE YEAR, 2022”. This was by the organisers of the prestigious “Hall of Fame Awards”, represented by its Founder, Comrade Mcgoshen Onwunzo. The plaque presentation was done ahead of the events marking the 3rd Edition of the Hall of Fame Awards Ceremony, which has been scheduled for Sunday, November 13, 2022, at the Oriental Hotels, Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria.

The delegation to Chief Adesina was led by Rev Dr Austin Epunam, the Founder of the Sweet Home Africa Humanitarian Foundation (SHAHF) and producers of the Sweet Home Magazine. Rev Epunam is also the National Champion of the OCI Foundation.

Others in the delegation to Chief Adesina, who were largely partners and associates of the OCI Foundation and SHAHF, were Comrade Mcgoshen Onwunzo (Hall of Fame Awards), Engineer Chijioke Ojukwu (MD, E.Ekesons Transports, Ikenna Onuzulike (SHAHF), Chief Basil Onuoha (Igbo leader, FCT Abuja), and Luter Ikyobo (OCI Foundation). The MD of “Ike God Foods Nigeria”, the makers of the Jolly Jolly Noodles, was represented at the event.
