1. THE AUTHORITY: Prof. Ifediora bags Chieftaincy title in Abuja (02/02/22)
The palace of His Royal Majesty,. Amb. Igwe Ochendu A. Chukwudi, Eze Igbo 1, Abuja was agog on Saturday 29 January, when he, in collaboration with the entire Igbo community conferred on Prof. Chris O. Ifediora, President, OCI foundation, the Chieftaincy title, Chizitelu 1 of Nigeria (God sent).
Igwe Ochendu stated that according to the provisions of the constitution of the Igbo community, Prof. Ifediora was found worthy of the honour for his immense contributions in the progress, development and advancement of humanity, health and social empowerment in Nigeria and Africa at large.
In his response, the Australia-based anti-cancer campaigner, Prof. Ifediora expressed his profound appreciation for the honour, promised to support the community and bring his international experience to bear in their affairs.
The event was a gathering of dignitaries from all walks of life which include, Pst. Morris Akilejike, Mr. Obinna Okoli, Chairman area 7 traders association (UTC), Senatorial aspirant, Akwanga zone, Raymond Akulo and Chairman Ndieze FCT, Chief Uche Chineke. Others were, Chief Dr. Caroline Nwosu who came with her 102 years old mother, High Chief Iyom Nonye Josephine Ezeanya, Chief Mrs. Omowaye Osho, National President, Association of Market Traders and Leaders Council of Nigeria (AMTLCN), Eng. Monpery Zhiba who represented HE. Otunba Giwa Gbenga and a host of others.
The occasion climaxed with the unanimous appointment of High Chief, Amb. Dr. Caroline Nwosu as the National Matron of the association of market traders and leaders council of Nigeria who were decked in their imposing white uniform as they beckoned on her to come out and declare to run for the presidency of the Federal Republic of Nigeria come 2023, pledging their unflinching support for her. They posited that the major focus of this appointment was their resolve to shop for a female candidate widely accepted to represent the entire womanhood in the forthcoming 2023 general election which they believe she qualifies having gone through the process before.

Prof. Chris Ifediora, President of OCI Foundation has restated commitment to continue the fight against breast and cervical cancer to reduce the prevalence in the country.
Ifediora made the commitment after he received the traditional title of ‘Chizitelu 1 of Nigeria’ meaning God Sent by the Eziegbo of Ado Kingdom, Igwe Ochendu Chukwudi on Saturday in Ado, Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.
He said he had been doing a lot in the area of breast and cervical cancer, adding that the title will spur him to do more for his people and the country.
“We are here on a mission to save lives. So my message to the people is that they should listen and pay attention to what we have to say concerning cancer and their health.
” They should pay attention and keep doing what is right. It is all about doing good.
“However, being recognised spurs one to want to do more and that is what is going to happen. Thus, this title will spur me to do a lot more than I have done already.
” I want to state that, we going into humanitarian activities and health campaign was not to look.for recognition and accolades. We do it because, we want to make a change,” Ifediora said.
The OCI Foundation President said he had being receiving recognition in my countries, adding that this is the first time he is receiving from people with his tradition that share same customs and values with him.
He described the traditional title as a home coming for him.
“And that is why it is special one for me, and I deeply appreciate it, to be recognised by your own people for something you do for other groups.
“This is an indication that whatever we are doing is right and that is why it is special for me,” he reiterated. (NAN)
3. KAKAAKI REPORTERS: Popular Anti-Cancer Advocate, Dr. Chris Ifediora Bags Chieftaincy Title Of Chizitelu 1 of Nigeria (29/01/22)
The Founder/President of Onyebuchi Chris Ifediora, OCI Foundation, a leading anti-cancer advocacy group in Nigeria, Associate Prof. Chris Ifediora has bagged the chieftaincy title of Chizitelu 1 of Nigeria (God sent).
The traditional title will officially be conferred on him by the Ogidi-Igbo Gburugburu, Wakilin Igbo, De Lion King, HRM Amb. Dr. Igwe Ochendo A.O Chukwudi in collaboration with the entire Igbo community in Abuja.
The official conferment of the traditional title will take place on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at the palace of the Ezeigbo located near White Garment Church, Ado-Karu, Nasarawa State.
The Royal Father in a release says the honour is in recognition of Associate Prof. Ifediora’s contributions in advancement of health and social empowerment.
“Prof. Chris O. lfediora has contributed immensely in the progress, development and the advancement of humanity, health and social empowerment in Nigeria and Africa at large. We therefore find him worthy according to the provisions of the constitution of the Igbo community to crown him as CHIZITELU 1 OF NIGERIA (Godsent)” the traditional ruler said.
The event which is under the distinguished chairmanship of Mr. Obinna Okoli A, the Chairman Area 7 Traders Association UTC, Garki Abuja will be hosted by Eze Amb. Dr. Igwe Ochendo A.O Chukwudi, JP, Ogidi-lgbo Gburugburu, Wakilin lgbo, (De Lion King) and the National Political, Ndieze Igbo in Diaspora (Worldwide), the National Secretary Ndieze Igbo in Diaspora, Anambra state chapter.
The Chief Host will be HRH, Eze Dr. Amb. Sir Nwosu Ibe MON, JR KSJ, Ezeigbo 1 of Abuja.
Associate Prof. Ifediora has lined up series of activities to mark the 2022 World Cancer Day slated to take place on February 3 in a grand style.
First Lady, Aisha Buhari had on Tuesday confirmed her readiness to grace the event while playing host to a delegation of the leadership of OCI Foundation who paid her a courtesy visit in Abuja.
In its pre-event engagements, the organisation also visited the Director General of NTA, Yakubu Mohammed soliciting his collaboration.

His foundation, Onyebuchi Chris Ifediora, OCI Foundation has lined up series of activities to mark the 2022 World Cancer Day slated to take place on February 3 in a grand style expected to witness the presence of Nigeria First Lady, Aisha Buhari.
The Foundation also sponsors the Anambra ‘Arm Our Youths (ArOY) Health Campaign Schools Challenge’ AHCSC, a Health Quiz Competition organised for public secondary schools in Anambra annually.

Dr Adamu Umar, the President of Nigerian Cancer Society has lauded Prof. Chris Ifediora, the President of OCI Foundation for his effort to reduce the prevalence of breast and cervical cancer in the country.
Umar made this known in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria at a ceremony to honour Ifediora with the traditional title, ‘Chizitalu 1 of Nigeria (God Sent) in Ado, Karu Local Governnent Area of Nasrawa State.
He stressed that Ifediora was truly a God Sent and God’s gift to Nigeria, humanity, and the world.
“He has been an exemplary leader and worthy ambassador of this country over their in Australia; and over here, he is a critical stakeholder in the way things are done.
” His Foundation has been doing very well in humanity, health, environment, education and many other areas.
“In the Nigerian Cancer Space, we see the coming of Ifediora into the Nigerian Cancer Space as a real blessing, because, he has done profound things that will advance cancer care in Nigeria.
