OCI Foundation Mourns Senator (Dr) Patrick Ifeanyi Uba – official Statement

We received, with rude shock, the sudden passing of Distinguished Senator Dr Ifeanyi Uba, the Senator representing Anambra South in the current Nigerian Senate.

Senator Uba was a friend of the Foundation who not only believed in our goals and programs but identified with them and supported them.

Through his charity organisation, the Senator Ifeanyi Uba Foundation, he donated thousands of branded t-shirts towards the OCI Foundation’s Arm Our Youths (ArOY) Anti-Cancer Campaign Project with the NYSC. The shirts, still in use to date, are a huge testament to the solid commitment to the saving of Nigerian lives by the late distinguished Senator.

On February 3, 2022, Senator Ifeanyi was among the special guests who graced the OCI Foundation’s official flag-off ceremony of the ArOY Campaign with the NYSC.

On multiple occasions, Senator Uba has hosted the Foundation and its officers at his Abuja residence and his office in the National Assembly (NASS) Complex, FCT, Abuja, Nigeria.

Sir, we had a lot more to do for Nigeria and her youths. Your passing is deeply painful and a very hard one to swallow.

We offer our deepest condolences to your family, the Nigerian Senate, the good people of Nnewi and the Anambra South Senatorial District, Anambra State as a whole, and the entire Nigerian Nation.

We will never forget, Sir. Rest in peace, Great Philanthropist.
