10 Feb 2021 Miss Tiv 2020, The OCI Foundation’s “Benue Face of ArOY Health Campaign”, visits IDP Camp to support the vulnerables in Makurdi, Nigeria
As part of her charitable activities, and one in line with her committment to the activtires of the OCI Foundation, Miss Mlumun Veronica IORTYER, who is the “2020 Face of Tiv International” as well as the OCI Foundation’s “Face of the ArOY Health Campaign for Benue State”, have visited the camp for internally displaced persons (IDP) in Makurdi, Benue State, Nigeria. Over the 2 days of her visit, she supplied both drinking and non-drinking water (see pictures below).
The IDP camps are the places of abode for Nigerians who are displaced by violence, particularly those due to attacks by Boko Haram extremists in Northern Nigeria.
Queen Vera, as she is now known, became the OCI Foundation’s ArOY Campaign Face in Benue State after she won a keenly contested event, held in Markurdi, Benue State, from December the 15th to the 17th, 2020.
As the “Face of the ArOY Health Campaign in Benue State”, Queen Vera works closely with the OCI Foundation as its innovative and life-saving Arm Our Youths (ArOY) Health Campaign is rolled out across Benue State, and, possibly, the rest of Nigeria. She is also expected to play a role as the OCI Foundation commences engagements with all tertiary institutions in Nigeria, which is one of its new initiatives of 2021.
