Pics/Story: The Ifediora Family and OCI Foundation joins in mourning Emerita Prof. Antoinette N. C. Okaka (22/5/25)

The OCI Foundation extends its deepest condolences to the family and friends of the late Emerita Professor Antoinette Nwamaka Chinwe OKAKA, who was laid to eternal rest on Thursday, May 22, 2025, in her hometown of Onitsha, Anambra State, Nigeria.

The late Okaka was a Professor of Applied Biochemistry who, in her lifetime, mentored and tutored many.

Emerita Prof. Okaka and her late husband, Prof. J. OKAKA, were cherished family friends of Pa Isaac Ifedioramma OKAFOR, the late father of the OCI Foundation’s President.

She was also a friend of the OCI Foundation.

The OCI Foundation was represented at the funeral by Mrs Anthonia Chigbata (the Foundation’s Director of Empowerment), Mr Chinonso Mako and Mr Chigbata. We join other members of the Ifedioramma Family in mourning the passing of this great icon and in wishing the OKAKA Family fortitude to bear this irreparable loss, Amen.

May her gentle soul rest in God’s eternal peace, Amen.
