Friday, August 19yth, 2022: The Senator representing “Anambra South Senatorial District” in the Nigerian Senate, the Distinguished Senator (Dr.) Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah (Ebube Chukwu Uzo Nnewi) has visited his maternal (Nwadiana) relations at Ndiakwu, Otolo Nnewi, Anambra State, Nigeria.
On ground to receive him were the “Epunam” (Ukatu and Obiezedum) and “Chukwuma” families.
At the occassion, Rev Dr Epunam (also of the OCI Foundation and Sweet Home Africa Humanitarian Foundation) thanked Senator Uba for the Philanthropic roles he has been playing in the country, describing him as the Father of Charity in Nigeria. He mentioned his contributions to the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC).
In addition, he extolled him for his support for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) through a partnership with an Australian-based NGO, the OCI (Onyebuchi Chris Ifediora) Foundation. This partnership has allowed them to continually equip Nigerian youths with the tools to fight Breast and Cervical Cancers.
The Senator Ifeanyi Uba and the OCI Foundations are also planning to carry out free cervical cancer screenings for 200 women in Nnewi community.
On his part, Senator Uba thanked Rev. Ifeanyi Epunam for facilitating the family parley.
Others present at the occasion were Chief Emeka Chukwuma (Okaibe), who broke the kolanut, as well as Hon Tempest Udeze, Hon. Emma Onwugha, Chief Nonso Ukatu, Pastor Chika Osigwe, Nze Obidike Chukwuma, Hon. Tochukwu Epunam (JP) and Dr. Edwin Chukwuma ( Oyi). The Umuadas (Women folks) were also in attendance.
