Story, Pics & Videos, as OCI Foundation hosts Qiagen, German-based World Leading Biotech Company, in its Nigeria’s Abuja Office (16/03/22)

On March 16^th, 2022,the OCI Foundation, led by its National Champion , Rev Dr Austin Epunam., hosted a delegation from QIAGEN, the  German-based biotech company and world leading provider of sample and assay technologies.

The Qiagen team was led by Dr Olusola Ogunwale, the company’s Head of Commercial Operations for the developing world. He is based in Hilden, Germany, and was accompanied by the Head of Operations in Africa (South African-based Dr Tandie Mpabanga-Nyathi) and the representative in Nigeria (Dr Tunde Lawal).

Part of the highlights of the event was the decoration of the Qiagen team with the OCI Foundation’s regalia.

On March 17^th, 2022, the Qiagen team also visited the newly-commissioned OCI Foundation’s Gynocular Centre in Abuja. The centre became functional on February 2, 2022, and was established to help provide digital cervical cancer screening services for Nigerians.

The OCI Foundation is hoping to establish a partnership with Qiagen, and this visit is in line with this.
