On Sunday, December the 20th, 2020, the OCI Foundation’s President, Assoc Prof Chris Ifediora, bagged his 4th award of 2020. The award, an “Excellence in Humanitarian Services Award”, came from the King David School of Creative and Performing Arts’ (King David SOCAPA), the organizers of the “Benue Heritage Expo, 2020″. The Award was received by the Benue State Champion of the OCI Foundation, Mrs Victoria Akuhwa, who represented the Foundation, alongside Mr Luter Ikyobo, the Foundation’s Social and Entertainment Liaison Officer.
“King David SOCAPA” is a Benue State-based organization established to raise disciplined leaders through Art Education. They train children (aged 1 to 12 years) and young adults (12-21 years) in Music, Dance, Painting, Fashion and Acting, and organize events like the “Summer Art festival”, “Kiddies Bay Club”, and so on. They also stage the “BIBLE CLUB” through Saturday bible stories and kids’ club activities.
This makes the 4th award for the OCI Foundation in 2020, with the other 3 coming from the Rotary International, the Nigerian Bar Association, and Caverra World. Through the OCI Foundation, Dr Chris Ifediora, the Founder, has touched, inspired, and lifted lives. The NGO was established in 2016 as a Nigerian NGO designed to “Promote and Advance Health”, “Advance Education”, and “Advance Social & Public Welfare” among the Nigerian populace. In 2018, the OCI Foundation attained an international status with full registration in Australia as well.
