The OCI Foundation’s President, Dr. Chris Ifediora participated at the September 2024 fifth edition of Australia’s top leaders and Chief Executives in the Not For Profit (NFP) “Annual Third Sector Llive” Programme.

The event held at the Park Royal Darling Harbour, Sydney, Australia, attracted hundreds guests was the largest gathering of NFP leaders across Australia continent.

Dr. Ifediora, a Nigerian Philanthropist based in Australia who was one of the 40 speakers at the event spoke on the topic, “Leveraging Internal Data to Optimize NGO Activities- Case Study and Insights from the OCI Foundation.

The occasion presented an exciting and engaging experience and provided another great opportunity for the OCI Foundation International, which has official presence in Nigeria, Australia and the United Kingdom to showcase its activities and research to an enlightened global audience.

I’m retrospect, the OCI Foundation International in 2022 won the Australia National Award as the (Emerging NFP of the year) at the 3rd edition of this same “Third Sector” event.

Dr. Chris Ifediora in his speech posited that Data can be transformative for NGOs and NFPs to make their activities a powerful tool for change and maximize impact, long term sustainability and greater cost efficiency.

He added that OCI-acronym of the founder’s name, (Onyebuchi Chris Ifediora) uses Data to promote and advance health, education and social/public welfare namely, the Arm Our Youths Anti-cancer health programme campaign, the IFOMSSA Senior Scholarship scheme for social/Public welfare.

He asserted that other benefits include, Effective Informed Decision making drive, risk management and proactive problem solving, develop adaptive and continuous improvement strategies and enhance programme impact to ensure sustainability as well as various incentives in the field of humanitarian services.
