Sharing is caring!

On Saturday, December the 4th, 2021, the OCI Foundation received her 20th award since August 2020, as it’s President, Dr Chris Ifediora, was honoured with a “Global Youth Humanitarian Award for Excellence” Award by the Global Youth Leaders Network, GYLeN, (04/12/2021)“.  All the awards received by the OCI Foundation and her President, can be found HERE.

The current recognition came courtesy of the Global Youth Leaders Network (GYLeN), whose members from Mexico gathered in Abuja, Nigeria, for the “Second Edition of GYLeN International Exchange Program/Launching of Her Global Youth Mentorship Nigeria Pilot Project“.

The event took place at the Residency Hotel, Area 11, Gariki,  Abuja, Nigeria. The Award was received on behalf of the OCI Foundation by Mr Omang Dave, the CEO of Edu Radio and an associate of the OCI Foundation. The OCI Foundation also thanks its National Champion, Rev Dr Austin Epunam (also of the Sweet Home Africa Humanitarian Foundation, SHAHF), Mr Luter Ikyobo (the Social and Entertainment Liaison Officer) and Mr Victor Okolie (the Global President of GYLen).
GYLeN “is an intellectual and ideological organization” with memberships from over 60 countries around the world, which provides a platform for the breeding of ideas among the youths, globally. The deliberations on this platform allow the youths to brainstorm on the problems facing them across the world.

The Arm Our Youths (ArOY) Health Campaign is a novel, Harvard-endorsed, WHO-supported, and evidence-based health promotion initiative of the OCI Foundation, which primarily seeks to introduce anti-breast and anti-cervical cancer programs into the NYSCs orientation activities across Nigeria. It also aims to include preventive teachings into the academic curriculum of all senior secondary schools in Nigeria’s 36 states (and the FCT) before the end of 2025.

Details of the ArOY Health Campaign can be found HERE.
