Award of Excellence: OCI Foundation’s President (Dr Ifediora) honoured by the Science Teachers Association of Nigeria, STAN (05/12/25)

Friday, December 5, 2025: The Anambra State Branch of the Science Teachers Association of Nigeria, STAN, has honoured the OCI Foundation’s President, Dr Chris Ifediora, with an “Award of Excellence“.

The event was held on Friday, December 5, 2025, at the Federal Science and Technical College, Awka, Anambra State, Nigeria.

A letter to Dr Ifediora stated that the award was “in recognition of your outstanding philanthropic nature, dedication and contributions to educational development in Anambra State through the OCI Foundation.”

The letter went on to state that “we are also aware that you are instrumental to breast and cervical cancer teachings we have today in the school curriculum, both in the state and nationwide. Your scholarship to the secondary students, undergraduates, corps members… is evidence of your commitment to quality education, and such has set a remarkable standard and undoubted inspiration to all.”

The award was collected on behalf of the OCI Foundation’s President by the Domestic Liaison Officer (Mrs Imelda EMEKA) and the Director of Empowerment Programs (Mrs Ngozi CHIGBATA).

The OCI Foundation is grateful to the Executive Council and Board of Trustees of STAN for this recognition.
