Cancer Patients in Benue, Nigeria: NYSC CDS Group Visits with the NCS and OCI Foundation’s ArOY Health Campaign team (Markurdi, 11/01/23)

Wednesday, January 11, 2022: The NYSCs Reproductive Health and HIV/AIDS Community Development service (CDS) visited  cancers  patients at the Oncology Department, Federal  Medical  Centre  Makurdi, Benue State, Nigeria.

In attendance, were corps member of the CDS. They were led by their Schedule Officer, Mrs Veronica Kpen Agayo, as well as was Dr. Philip Ayom, the medical doctor for cancer  programs who is also represents the Nigeria Cancer Society (NCS).

Both Mrs Agayo and Dr Ayom anchor the OCI  Foundation’s Arm Our Youths (ArOY) Anti-Cancer Health Campaign that helps sensitize corps members against breast and cervical cancers all over Nigeria.

During the visit, some tokens were given to the cancer patients by the CDS team.
