COVID-19: MESSAGE FROM THE OCI FOUNDATION’S PRESIDENT

Sharing is caring!

The OCI Foundation wishes everyone safety at this time of the Corona Virus (COVID-19) Pandemic, and enjoins us all to follow the life-saving instructions provided by the experts. Please click HERE to find out all there is to know about the virus, and get useful tips on how to prevent it.

This pandemic has literarily grounded all global activities, and significantly threatens 2 key events lined up by the OCI Foundation to hold over the next couple of months. These events are:

  1. The “NYSC-OCI Foundation” event, tentatively scheduled for Abuja, Nigeria, on May the 25th, 2020. Details can be found HERE;
  2. The planned roll-out of the Arm Our Youths (ArOY) Health Campaign in Benue State of Nigeria, through the joint ESLF-OCI Foundation partnership. This was tentatively scheduled to hold in Makurdi, on May the 28th, 2020. Details can be found HERE.

We at the OCI Foundation follow global best practices. As such, we are very mindful of the fact that it may be inevitable to postpone the two aforementioned activities. Consultations are currently ongoing, and we will notify everyone of the decisions once we have more clarity regarding any new dates. For the time being, plannings that do not require physical contacts will continue, so that we will be ready to hit the ground running once things normalize.

Our educational activities, particularly those concerning the Cyfed Scholarships, are likely to proceed without disruption.

Stay safe. Stay blessed. May God continue to protect us all.

This, too, shall pass . . . .

Thank you.

A/Prof. Chris Ifediora, President, OCI Foundation.
