Posted at 16:00h, 16 MarchThis is an insightful initiative , I will suggest to the OCI foundation that it will be very ideal if the foundation includes Cervical cancer vaccine most especially to the Teenage girls as most of them are not aware of the existence of this cervical cancer Vaccine.. the foundation could partner with a health care organisation that administers the vaccine. God bless OCI foundation.

Posted at 14:59h, 17 MarchI particularly like how the OC andI the AROY campaign initiative has been pictured in this module, not just as any NGO but as a one of it’s kind in the WORLD with a targeted purpose of it being not just a tool of enlightenment and information but also a cheaper alternative for everyone, seeing the high rate of cost of screening and mortality rates due to late discovery. However, i know we have talked about the direct involvement of the male gender in this and the concerns for children and adults not to misunderstand the statement “cervical cancer is sexually transmitted ” the teachers need to also understand the nitty gritty of exactly who is at risk and how it is passed. This module is quite engaging and eye opening. I preferes reading to the video though as it seemed a little long. Thank you.

Posted at 05:51h, 19 MarchThe fact that I I initiative includes teenage boys is indicative of OCI’s willingness to chnage the narrative with regards to how people perceive cancer.
It is also very important to note here that the approaches listed, together with the partners willing to drive its implementation, then there is a greater chance of success.

Posted at 18:19h, 19 MarchPersonally I really appreciate Oci foundation and it AROY program . The projection of the program to the targeted population is really mind blowing couple with the strategy to aqualise this goal.
Million die on daily basis due to cancer, many breasts are being cut out due to late detection.
AROY program cost less and it screen is easy for everyone to undergo regardless of the qualification.
I must say that million still don’t know how cancer of the breast or cervical can be gotten, many have this believe that it natural or will of God.
But with a program like these in secondary School ,the students are the future of tomorrow likewise the mothers of tomorrow,so when they’re fully equipped and enlighten death rate of cancer Nigeria will drastically decline.
Thank you

Posted at 08:19h, 20 MarchI agree with Roseline Anijekwu on the availability of the vaccine. It is very important that the vaccine be made readily available and affordable too for the Campaign to achieve the desired goals. It will be more like ‘theory and practice ‘. Also hospitals, health care centers where the vaccines can be get should be included in the Campaign.
It will also be nice if the adults who cannot take the vaccine are enlightened on how to take care of themselves as regards to the food to take or to avoid; drugs to take or to avoid.
The Foundation is doing a great job. Kudos to them.

Posted at 22:26h, 31 JulyThe oci goals is a lofty one. This will change the health narratives especially with regards to breast cancer. The vaccine should be made readily available.
