Diplomatic Parley: OCI Foundation’s National Champion joins Igwe Orizu and Innoson Team to welcome Nigeria’s Foreign Affairs Minister and the Jamaican High Commissioner (11/02/23)

The Founder of the Sweet Home Africa Foundation (producers of the prestigious Sweet Home Magazine), Rev Dr Austin Epunam, who is also the OCI Foundation’s National Champion, was among the dignitaries that welcomed the Jamaican High Commissioner to Nigeria (H.E., Esmond Reid) and the Nigerian Minister of Foreign Affairs (H.E Geoffrey Onyeama) to Nnewi, Nigeria.

The diplomats were on a courtesy visit to the headquarters of the Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing (IVM) Company (an indigenous vehicle making organisation) in Nnewi, Nigeria. The Innoson Group is an official partner to the OCI Foundation’s Arm our Youths (ArOY) Anti-Cancer Health Campaign, and the Foundation’s first official vehicle was a brand new IVM Vehicle, purchased in June 2020 (Details HERE). The Innoson CEO, Chief Innocent Chukwuma, was also a special guest at the formal flag-off ceremony of the ArOY Campaign in Anambra State, back in September 2019 (Details HERE).

While at Nnewi, the delegation also visited the traditional ruler of Nnewi Kingdom, Igwe Kenneth Orizu (III), in his palace at Otolo Nnewi. Igwe Orizu, Africa’s longest serving Monarch, is a Royal Patron of the OCI Foundation (details HERE).
