NUJ’s Public Lecture and Awards: OCI Foundation participates in FRCN Headquarters Chapel’s Event (25/01/2023)

On Wednesday, January 25, 2023, the OCI Foundation’s Team was a special guest at the “Public Lecture and Awards” ceremony organized by the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), FRCN Headquarters Chapel, Abuja, Nigeria.

The event was organised by the Chairperson of the Chapel, Mrs Sandra UDEIKE.

The OCI Foundation was represented by members of its Abuja Advocacy Team, led by Ms Felicia Dagu. She was accompanied by Mr Luter Ikyobo and Ms Lovelyn Igozuruike. The Chairperson of the NUJ FRCN Chapel, Mrs Sandra Udeike, is also the OCI Foundation’s Media Liaison Officer.

The participation consolidates a growing bond in the relationship between the OCI Foundation and the FRCN (Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria) Chapel of the NUJ. In 2020, the OCI Foundation donated facemasks and other anti-COVID19 materials to the Chapel, and also delivered a health talk to the chapel members on breast and cancer preventive strategies. The Foundation also participated prominently in the Chapel’s 2020 NUJ Week, while, on December 3 2021, the OCI Foundation President was specially honoured with the “Outstanding NGO Convener of the Year” award.
