23 Jan “Humanitarian Man of the Year Award” – The OCI Foundation’s President recognized again, as he bags another accolade (January 23rd, 2021).
At the 2021 Fame Award Night that held on Saturday, the 23rd day of January, 2021, the OCI Foundation’s President, Dr Chris Ifediora, was, yet again, honoured with the “Humanitarian Man of the Year Award” by the Fame Empire Awards. As reported on their website, the Fame Empire Awards is Nigeria’s premier Events Artist and Model Management Company that is based in Abuja, the capital city of Nigeria.
This honour marks the 6th in as many months, for the OCI Foundation’s President, Associate Professor Chris Ifediora. Professor Ifediora was also listed among one of the “Six Most Passionate Nigerian Leaders of 2020“, alongside influential governors, technocrats and other highly placed Nigerians. The other 5 awards included those from the Rotary International’s Humanitarian Platinum Service Award (August 2020) and the Nigerian Bar Association’s Humanitarian Service Award (December 2020), with the latter being the body of legal practitioners in Nigeria). There were also awards from Caverra World Man of the Year (November 2020), King David SOCAPA Excellence in Humanitarian Services Award (January 2021), and the Ayatutu Family’s Most Innovative Humanitarian Service Provider Award (January 2021).
At the award presentation ceremony, held at the Top Rank Hotel, Abuja, Nigeria, the OCI Foundation was represented by a team led by its National Champion (who is also the Founder of the Sweet Home Africa Humanitarian Foundation, SHAHF), Rev. Dr. Austin Epunam. The other team members were the Foundation’s Social and Entertainment Liaison Officer, Mr Luter Ikyobo, the Administrative Officer III, Ms Felicia Dagu, and a member of its Advocacy Team in Abuja, Ms Elizabeth Dagu.
